Bootcentrum Geertsma has been building BEGE cruisers for more than 50 years. Steel cruisers in lengths between 8 and 15 metres are designed and built entirely according to customers’ wishes in the company’s facilities in the town of Grou in the northern Netherlands. The possibilities are endless and no two BEGE are the same. In other words, Bootcentrum Geertsma is a small yard with a big passion.
With the BEGE OK, AK, Salon and Cabrio, Bootcentrum Geertsma offers four distinctive model lines with properties for which the yard is well known: strength, practicality, spaciousness, stability and excellent manoeuvrability.
The yard is not interested in resting on its laurels, and is working hard on new designs for vessels of the future. The first step was the BEGE Patrouille. This new model has a robust appearance but incorporates highly refined technology. The 85 cm draught, 2.45 m vertical clearance and option for category B certification mean that the Patrouille has a very large potential sailing area.
The BEGE Allrounder 42 is the latest model, created together with leading designer Willem Nieland. It is a resolutely modern vessel with state-of-the-art technology. All processes are controlled digitally from the dashboard or the media centre. Thanks to the high-quality computations that went into the hull, the vessel goes faster than its hull speed and fuel consumption is dramatically lower than one would expect. This model belongs without doubt in the absolute top segment of Dutch yachtbuilding. With the BEGE Allrounder, it is not about the destination – it’s about the journey to get there.
