The E-Series Elling Yachts achieve new levels of safety and luxury in contemporary yacht design. They are built by Twaron® to the demanding CE Category A (Open Ocean) standard, making them as tough as lifeboats. Both models come with the option of an auxiliary engine for extra peace of mind when the going gets really tough. Whether you’re going over the Channel or across the pond, you’ll want to experience the year-round luxury of the E-Series.
Over forty years of boatbuilding experience has resulted in outstanding seaworthiness combined with exceptional levels of comfort. The interiors are spacious and light, with panoramic views from the wheelhouse. Excellent engineering, outstanding insulation and highly advanced engine mountings make these arguably the quietest semi-displacement yachts in the world. Even when cruising at eighteen knots, you will experience less noise in the deck saloon than in a luxury car travelling at a hundred kilometres an hour. All seats give outstanding support to legs and back, so you’ll be sitting comfortably even in the roughest seas.
Below decks the Elling is incomparable; enter the lower saloon and the daylight flooding in from the wheelhouse windows will make you feel you are actually on a spacious sixty-foot yacht. Comfortable ergonomic seating and the curved couch are a permanent invitation to sit back and relax. There’s even a widescreen TV which pops up and stows away at the touch of a button. The separate galley, with a full-size four-zone hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/drier, large fridge and separate freezer, plus two spacious Corian worktops, makes cooking a real pleasure. There’s even a wine cellar under the galley floor. It’s never been so easy to enjoy home away from home.
Out of the blue and on a whim…
Keith and Val Foster were crossing the Bay of Biscay in their E4 Jamyla when they encountered Beaufort force 8 conditions in the channel, and then continued a further six hundred miles on the Atlantic to Lanzarote. Next, they set out to visit every single island in the Canaries. They love the boat’s seaworthiness: “Thanks to her low centre of gravity, she rolls significantly less than others in her class. In rough seas she cuts through the waves instead of rolling.”
The super-seaworthy Elling has 80_2no flybridge – her sturdy wheelhouse has a comfortably elevated steering position which affords an excellent field of vision. You can lower the mast at the flick of a switch and pass bridges with a clearance of up to 3.45 metres, opening up the French canals and the inland waterways of the eastern US. Meanwhile, full double glazing, central heating and air conditioning will keep you comfortable everywhere between the tropics and the Arctic Circle.
Elling is proud of its worldwide distribution network. Although based in Europe, the yard supports all its clients directly or indirectly through an extensive dealer support programme – whether you are sailing your Elling in Europe, the Americas, Asia or the Antipodes.
The New E6: 65 feet of luxury and adventure Neptune Marine Shipbuilding will release its latest model, the Elling E6, in May 2016. This new venture will be the crowning achievement of 17 years of research and development following the course set by the successful Elling E3 and E4 models.
The Elling E6 will add a new level of space and luxury to the high specifications already realised by this proven concept. The most remarkable new feature of the Elling E6 will be the increase in overall length to 65 feet (19.80 metres) and a new elegant streamlined look.
A world-class bluewater traveller
Another key quality of the Elling E6 will be its CE category A certification, which means that it will be approved for ocean passages and become part of Elling’s trans-Atlantic range. The yacht will also provide a degree of safety similar to a lifeboat – even being self-righting in the event of an emergency. The reinforced Aramid (Kevlar or Twaron) hull will ensure the utmost in impact protection.
There will also be an option for thermal
in extreme climate conditions. Other advantages will include minimal maintenance costs, low fuel consumption at hull speed, and an auxiliary engine with a separate fuel tank, allowing the boat to reach safe haven in case of main engine failure.
The main engine on the Elling E6 will be a Volvo Penta D13 six-cylinder 900 hp (670 kW) diesel with a maximum speed of 18 knots. The auxiliary will be a Volvo Penta D2 four-cylinder 75 hp (55
kW) diesel engine with a top speed of seven knots. The draught will be just 1.2 metres (four feet) and the yacht will also be equipped with a keel-protected propeller for use in shallow waters.
The large pilothouse has been redesigned to enhance the alfresco feel, and the five metres of additional length and one metre of extra beam will significantly boost the feeling of space. This enhanced living area in the pilothouse will easily accommodate up to eight people, who can sit and relax in luxury with new comfortable seats. Separately from this area, the pilothouse will have two helm seats and a pleasant sofa from where guests can keep the skipper company at the helm position. The interior will feature 1.95 metres (6’4”) of headroom.
As with the Elling E3 and E4, the Elling E6 will have a second, private seating area on the lower deck, which will be able to accommodate another group of up to eight people.
Stabilizing system
The E6 will include the option for a Seakeeper 9 gyro stabilizing system. This will achieve roll reduction of at least 80%, including when the yacht is at anchor.
Noise level
Like the Elling E3 and E4, the Elling E6 will be characterised by exceedingly low noise and vibration levels. Even at top speed, noise levels are not expected to exceed 70 dBA in the salon and pilothouse. This will be achieved by installing an Aquadrive pressure bearing in the shaft which uses the propeller pressure to propel the boat forward. The engine itself will have no axial forces to absorb and can therefore be installed on relatively soft engine mounts. Combined with an eight-layer insulation system, this will ensure an unsurpassed degree of quiet.
Thanks to series production and standardisation, the Elling E6 will also provide an unrivalled priceperformance ratio.
