The yard behind the C-Yacht brand is Zaadnoordijk Yachtbuilders, one of the most successful and quality oriented yards in the Netherlands. Over nearly seventy years of existence, the company has established a true pedigree in yacht building. Zaadnoordijk has always focusedm on quality and safety, using the latest techniques and with a clear overview of environmental considerations.
The boats are constructed using only the finest materials, such as vinylesterc-yacht resin, and, moreover, are partially produced using vacuum techniques. All boats are classified under CE category A. They are built entirely in house, from the moulds right down to the carefully finished teak wood interior. The knowledge and expertise of experienced sailors and watersports experts gleaned from every boat built by Zaadnoordijk are used in the development of new models. Ergonomics is part of the secret of the yard’s success and every detail is taken into consideration. To choose a C-Yacht is to opt for a boat with passion – a passion built on experience, quality, performance and high-quality seaworthiness.
A range of great yachts
C-Yacht builds for owners who are serious about cruising. The range consists of yachts between 10.85 and almost 13 metres. While the new 1050 may be the smallest C-Yacht on the market, it is certainly not inferior to its big sisters. And there are actually three yachts with different layouts in the eleven-metre range.
The 1250 flagship
The most acclaimed C-Yacht of all, the 1250, was a hit from the moment the initial sketches were completed by master designer Frans Maas. Immediately after the first launch, the model became a firm favourite. Numerous positive national and international reviews from nautical publications were followed by the icing on the cake – winning the Boat of the Year award.
Top of the class
The combination of expert construction by Zaadnoordijk Yachtbuilders and superior design by Frans Maas led to instant success. This yacht is a prime example of class, elegance and strength. The C-Yacht flagship is the largest boat built at the yard so far and embodies a drive for quality in a way that ensures its place in the top segment of its class. The yard’s carpentry shop uses CNC shaping followed by hand finishing, and the interior is made of the best teak. The spacious, airy interior can be equipped with two heads/showers to give occupants more privacy.
Customer forum
The C-Yacht 1250 was developed in cooperation with a customer forum and is built by and for owners. Many 1250 owners have explored oceans with their boat. Their expertise and experience is used to improve and enhance numerous details on the 1250, so that everything onboard is well thought out and practical. And it is precisely these details that define the character of the boat.
Safety by design
While the design of the 1250 is unique in several ways, it is the ballast ratio which is most revolutionary. The lead keel, mounted in an exceptionally rigid keel box, results in a ballast ratio of more than 41%. The combination of keel box, inner shell and oversized floor frames also makes the 1250 a very stiff yacht. The entire hull and deck are made of vinylester using a sandwich construction. Vinylester resin is a lot stronger than polyester and prevents osmosis. The deck layout reflects the C-Yacht philosophy of simplicity and functionality. The ease of use of the wellpositioned controls allows the boat to be sailed by a small crew. The oversized winches, with a German Main Sheet System, allow for good trimming even in difficult conditions.
